How to Select Rubber Materials

In order to provide guidance in the selection
of rubber materials, the Society of Automotive
Engineers (SAE) and the American Society
for Testing and Materials (ASTM) established
ASTM D2000. By using a designation method
called a “line call-out,” so engineers have
a readily available classification system for
elastomer compounds.

Cost Savings

Unlike injection molding or die cutting, the lathe cut process allows Grand River requires little to no tooling. As such, our process has a lower product cost due to the elimination of waste inherent to other processes.

Endless Possibilities

Our extensive application experience allows us to provide you with custom compounds that meet your needs while utilizing the most cost-effective materials.
